  The Rebels:- conclusion.

  Neither this thread nor other threads I have followed on subjects like God, Love, Spirit have convinced me with scientific proof of the subjects existence or non-existence.

  The reason I have reached this conclusion is that I consider the answer SUBJECTIVE. and that there is no scientifically agreed measurement.

  Therefore what ever you believe I hope that goes well for you, Neither side can irrefutably scientifically make their point.

  Love can be defined in many ways most of which can't be scientifically proven. However with love I am more at ease with its instinctive emotion than rationalising it.

  So my observation is the threads debating God are a throw back to our witness mindset, when we were being over zelouse about being right, even though we were in fact wrong. More importantly as witnesses, very rarely did we change another's viewpoint and I am sure we are all grateful for that.

  OpenCrow I am married young, but we " survived" 25 years, and we love and accept each other for our faults, we also love our boy and he can be athiest,believer, gay, straight.. and if that makes me and my wife assholes, then let me tell you about the fight and breaking free from the indoctrination that controlled our life's .   And if Cofty you read my Richard Glossip thread from when I started it 2 weeks ago with the impossible outcome that twise since happened .Yes impossible? Was the outcome less impossible than you being wrong? So my questions and comments to you on my EARLIER POST are RESPECTIVLY anticipated from a different perspective.

  Geees.

  post one I wrote " I think your reply was harsh"

  post two I wrote " I assure you I don't take your comments harshly"

  So to answer " OpenCrow" in both your posts your reply was harsh, but I chose not to take either harshly. Can you understand that?

  My point of this thread is that maybe we are all only little insects climbing the Himalayas, and therefore maybe we shouldn't talk so loud about right or wrong, when our opinions are only opinions. So until further notice and conclusive evidence on what love or God is people should be allowed to believe what they want to believe?

  OrphanCrow I assure you I don't take any of your comments harshly. I can also assure you I certainly have not ignored any of the comments Cofty has made and I am sure Cofty will agree on that? In fact on the contrary I am looking forward to Coftys replys to our communication. You also say I am trying to force my opinion on this board. Please then clarify what that opinion is?

  My opinion is that without scientific proof of what love or God is then people should be allowed to believe what they want to believe.

  Sabin thank you for the reply. To answer your question, what I have learnt on this board has made me to decide to disfellowship myself. That is an emotional reaction, based on facts of what I have learnt. Before I leave this site I want to establish that without conclusive scientific proof on what love or God is, then I should respect each persons personal belief on that matter.

  Then kindly proove it.

  B) People sitting on a jury have to give a " yes" or "no" answer to the question "would you put a man to death based on beyond reasonable doubt?" How would you then answer?

  I apologise that you didn't understand my third question " would you agree the evidence does not always convict?". So to clarify people have been convicted and received the death penalty based on DNA evidence. These convictions based on the evidence were later proved wrong convictions. So my question was " would you agree the evidence does not always convict?"
